Subsequent VLDL interaction with lipoprotein lipase in the tissue capillaries leads to the formation of residual VLDL rich in cholesterol (LPPP). Approximately half of these particles derived from the bloodstream by the liver cells for 2-6 h. Others undergo modifications with substitution of the remaining cholesterol esters triglycerides and apoproteins release of all except apoprotein B.
