Game advancement while iPad is off? (15th Aug 11 at 12:03am UTC)
Hi - I know the game advances if the app is "open" and basically running while you do other things. I'm wondering if you "close" the app (do the app switch action to see all the apps on the bottom, hold down on one, see red circle with the minus in it, click on that to close it), does the time still run on crops or building of special smurfs, etc?

Same question for when my iPad is off?

I would think time would "freeze" but maybe not? Any experience/troubles that people have experienced when turning "off" the app (in either method)?

Thanks -

Hello! I haven't noticed that time stops when the game is closed or the phone is off. I have two games and frequently switch between them. Let's say on Game 1 I plant blackcurrants, close the app, sign out of game center, sign into my other account, then open up smurfs again (Game 2). I can stay signed in to Game 2 all day, then switch over to Game 1 and my blackcurrants will be withered.

I haven't tested turning the phone off, but I would imagine it would work the same. Maybe someone else has thoughts on it?

The game uses the phones (or ipads) internal clock to determine the time of the game, so it doesn't matter if u shut down your phone or close the app completely.
