Best "Special" Smurf to Buy? (12th Jun 11 at 3:08am UTC)
I've been trying to figure out which smurfs are the most beneficial to buy with smurfberries. Here's what I have so far, along with questions I still haven't answered:

Nat Smurfling - 30 sb - unlocks all flower seeds and gives a bonus to nearby flowers. 9-10 flower beds can be arranged around Nat, which receive about a 5% bonus.

Smurfette - 30 sb - gives extra XP to nearby smurfs every few hours. She gives 15xp per smurf nearby. This is great when you have a lot of smurfs near her, but not so much since she walks all around the village and it's really a hit or miss situation. How often is "every few hours"?

Baby Smurf - 30 sb - find baby smurf every day for bonus xp. What kind of xp does he (she?) give?

Farmer Smurf - 25 sb - makes nearby crops worth more and helps you harvest faster. You can surround him with 8 plots and they'll give you an extra 25% of gold and xp to each crop. He also allows you to "Harvest all crops," which harvests ALL crops that are ready and makes harvesting REALLY easy! It does not harvest withered crops.

Hefty Smurf - 25 sb - reduces the time needed for smurfs to build new things. How much faster do things build?

Painter Smurf - 30 sb - play the game for xp and to color items in your village. My husband has this smurf and he usually gets 40xp every time he plays. He thinks the max is 45xp. The game is very tedious, as you are controlling a tiny paintbrush with your finger and sometimes you can't see where you're painting since your finger's in the way. Cooldown time: 12 hours.

Lazy Smurf - 30 sb - play his game for extra xp. I have this one and it's very tricky to figure out how the xp system works. You get 5 casts and you can catch red, yellow, green, blue, and purple fish, boots and plants. A badge is given for every 10 fish of each color, as well as the first 10 and 50 boots. Each badge gives maybe 100xp? I haven't gotten to 50 boots yet, so I don't know what happens after that. Usually I get about 30-40xp if I don't get a badge. My most recent games have yielded 572xp (I got a badge for 10 blue fish) and 94xp (I got a badge for 20 green fish). Cooldown time: 6 hours.

I have Farmer and Lazy Smurf. I love Farmer...don't regret buying him. I've had to be more patient with Lazy, as I usually don't get very much xp, but it's nice when I get those badges.

Hefty seems pointless unless you're at a low level. I don't do much building anymore (level 28). I don't think I would buy Painter...not very much xp for the game and being able to change the color of houses is worth less to me than having more xp. Nat, Smurfette, Baby - I just don't know enough about them to decide. Thoughts?

For Nat Smurf it seems up to 8-9 plots can get the bonus, maybe ten if you squeeze it in. Here's a screenshot of my Nat Smurf (only Smurfberry item I bought so far):

I don't think Nat Smurf was worth it, but, I don't really regret him. I did experience like a 5% bonus to the exp I get too.

I posted this to the site comment area. Thought I'd post it here as well:

Farmer Smurf Q – When the crops are finished, Farmer allows you to harvest them all with one press. Is that for ALL crops or just the 8 he is next too?
That would be a real time saver to harvest all crops at once. I have 40+ plots of land!

ALL of them! I have 59 plots and I can harvest them with one click. Any crops that are ready will be harvested when you click "harvest all crops." It does not, however, harvest withered crops.

Good question, I'll add it to the info. Thanks!

Yeah it's pretty awesome. I'm glad I decided to buy Farmer first. I just wish there was a "Plant All." lol.

I just got Farmer and I vote for him as the best investment. Don't forget you can move him next to valuable crops before harvesting to get the 25% bonus! {Smile}

I vote for Farmer as the best investment too. I got painter whom I enjoy but is not that great, I got baby smurf and smurfette too, they are okay. Vanity smurf is useless even thought it didn't cost me any smurfberries but come on! there should be more to it.

Upgrading farmer is a good investment when you have lots of land {Wink}

Yes, Farmer Smurf has both ability to Plant Crops and then to Harvest All. So much easier, especially if you have not got them all together in one place.

I am one smurfberry away from adding Farmer - after reading these posts and seeing my daughter who already has him - I've realized he's a must have! {Smile}
